Jocelyn Williams won the women's weight throw competition at the George Mason Last Chance Meet on Sunday.

On the final day to qualify for the 2014 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships, Liberty throwers Jocelyn Williams and Mychelle Cumings competed at the George Mason Last Chance Meet, Sunday at the George Mason Field House.

Two days after winning her first Big South weight throw title, Williams was victorious once again. Her first attempt (63-0.25) turned out to be her best of the day and put her more than two and a half feet in front of her nearest competitor. However, it was not an improvement on Williams' Big South-winning toss of 67-5.5, which broke her own program record.

Big South Women's Outstanding Field Performer Cumings came in second in the women's shot put on Sunday, thanks to a heave of 51-5. Like Williams, the junior could not quite replicate her effort from the Big South meet, where she threw a Liberty, Big South Conference and meet-record 53-5.5.

At this point, Cumings is tied for No. 20 nationally in the women's shot put while Williams sits at No. 25 in the weight throw. The qualifiers for the 2014 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships, including the top 16 declared athletes in each event, will be announced on Tuesday. The NCAA meet will be contested at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, N.M., March 14 & 15.
