Jocelyn Williams has won back-to-back ECAC Division I South Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Week honors.

For the second consecutive week, Liberty redshirt junior Jocelyn Williams has been honored as the Corvais ECAC Division I South Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Week. Williams, who again shattered her own school record in the women's weight throw, shared the honor with Villanova's Emily Lipari.

Williams entered Friday's Don Kirby Collegiate Elite Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., with a weight throw school record of 64-0.25. Five of her six throws eclipsed that mark, highlighted by a 66-6.5 effort on her fourth attempt.

Williams, who placed third in the competition at the Albuquerque Convention Center, now ranks first in the Big South, fifth in the ECAC and 24th nationally in the women's weight throw.

The New Jersey native also moved up to No. 3 on the Big South Conference's all-time women's weight throw list with the longest effort by a conference athlete since March 3, 2007.

Williams will take this weekend off from competition before returning to action at the 2014 Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships. The two-day meet is scheduled for Feb. 28 and March 1 at Rector Field House in Blacksburg, Va.
