Green, Johnson, Tolsma and Beitz To Speak At Flames Club Luncheon On Friday
The Flames Club achieved record numbers last year, with 281 members contributing over $243,000 to help underwrite the Liberty University Athletics program. Not included in those numbers were the 557 members of the 2006 Student Flames Club. Featured speakers at this luncheon will be women's basketball coach Carey Green, tennis coach Chris Johnson, Track & Field coach Brant Tolsma and Associated Athletic Director of Academics Kristie Beitz.
The Flames Club serves as the booster organization for Liberty University Athletics and meets on designated Fridays during the athletic season. The luncheons run from noon to 1:30 p.m. and a buffet lunch is provided for a $10 cover charge or $8 if purchased by 5 p.m. on the Monday prior to the luncheon. Select coaches speak each week, giving insight into the progress of their programs, often presenting video highlights and taking questions from those present.
Discount advance tickets are available for each luncheon, and season passes may be purchased for the remaining four luncheons scheduled for only $28. Season passes are non-refundable and non-transferable. Tickets and season passes may be purchased by calling 582-SEAT, e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or by visiting the Hancock Ticket Office.
The luncheons are sponsored by UBS Financial Services, with door prizes provided by the Liberty University Bookstore. The remaining 2006-07 Flames Club Luncheon schedule is as follows:
