Liberty Men's, Women's XC Named All-Academic Teams

The Liberty women's cross country team owns a 3.34 cumulative GPA, qualifying the Lady Flames as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.

The 2013 Liberty men's and women's cross country squads have both been honored as U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Teams for their work in the classroom.

Coached by Brant Tolsma, the men's squad owns a cumulative GPA of 3.45, while the Lady Flames boast a team GPA of 3.34. Both teams easily met the USTFCCCA standard of 3.0 to qualify as All-Academic Teams, with the Liberty men's team tying Colorado State for the 21st-highest team GPA in the nation.

Liberty also enjoyed a successful 2013 season on the course, highlighted by the Flames' unprecedented ninth consecutive Big South title. Meanwhile, the Lady Flames were the Big South runners-up, recording their 10th straight top-two conference finish.
