Ball worked through trouble in the top of the third. With runners on second and third and two outs, Ball got Osias on a comeback grounder, leaving the score at 3-0.
Ole Miss added one tally in the fourth, as Miranda Strother hit a leadoff single and advanced to second on a throwing error. Following a wild pitch, Invergo plated Strother with a sacrifice fly, making it 4-0.
After a leadoff walk in the bottom of the second, Fenter retired the next 10 batters in a row. Brown then made it to first when third baseman Allison Brown dropped a popup in the fifth. Lawrence then hit a two-out bunt single, but a Zavodny popout to second brought the fifth stanza to a close.
The Rebels boosted their advantage to 5-0 on an Invergo RBI triple during the sixth frame.
Liberty answered Ole Miss' sixth-inning run with one of its own. Shivock led off by singling to right field. Kelby Allen hit a two-out RBI double, bringing Liberty to within 5-1.
Ole Miss threatened but could not score in the seventh. Cantillo and Haley Culley hit back-to-back singles, and both runners moved up a base on a wild pitch. With one out, DiMartino replaced Ball in the circle. Cantillo was erased at the plate after a wild pitch, and Osias grounded out for the third out.
Back-to-back walks to Katie Han and Blair Lawrence gave Liberty life with one out in the seventh. Osias came on for the save, getting a fielder's choice and a groundout to cap seal the victory.
