Layer and Green on Flames Sports Hotline Tonight
The Flames Sports Hotline, a weekly radio call-in show, returns to the airwaves this evening at 7 p.m. at Doc's Diner.
New this year, the Flames Sports Hotline will air weekly on the ESPNinVA network, which includes the following ESPN Radio stations in the Central Virginia area: 93.3 FM (Lynchburg), 106.3 FM (Danville), 1240 AM (Roanoke), 1320 AM (Lynchburg) and 1350 AM (Bedford).
Alan York, the radio "Voice of the Flames," hosts the call-in show, which will feature head men's basketball coach Dale Layer and head women's basketball coach Carey Green live at Doc's Diner.
The Flames will look to snap a two-game losing skid on Tuesday, when Winthrop visits the Vines Center. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. for the contest which will air on the Liberty Flames Sports Network, MASN, ESPN3 and the Big South Network.
Coming off of back-to-back overtime losses, the Lady Flames are preparing for a pair of home games this week. Liberty will return to action Thursday at 7 p.m., when Coastal Carolina visits the Vines Center. The Lady Flames will aim for their 42nd straight win over the Chanticleers in a tilt slated to air on the Liberty Flames Sports Network, ESPN3 and the Big South Network.
After the first few segments, York will open up the phone lines and field questions from the radio listening audience. Fans may call in at (877) 401-9041 to participate in the weekly show.
Those not able to participate in the call-in portion of the show can also email their questions to LFSN@liberty.edu, prior to the start of the show.
Flames Nation fans can listen to the show locally by tuning their radio dials to any of the ESPNinVA network of stations in the Central Virginia area. The show will also air live online at LibertyFlames.com and can be heard by clicking on the link above.
