The latest addition to the growing Liberty Flames Sports Network (LFSN) hits the airwaves next week when LFSN debuts "Game On," a new 30-minute daily sports show.
The "Game On" show launches on Monday, Feb. 3, and air weekdays (Monday – Friday) on various LFSN affiliates around the country. Currently, the show is scheduled to air on the following Christian networks (check local listings for availability/times):
• Liberty Channel – 6:30 p.m. (Monday – Friday)
• JCTV (cable/broadcast)
• KTV (DISH Channel 264/Sky Angel)
• NRB (DirecTV - Channel 378/local affiliates)
• The WALK TV (255 local affiliates in the United States)
• METV (Israel)
Matt Warner and Lyndsay Keith are the "Game On" show hosts, with regular contributions from LFSN reporters Chierstin Susel, Rett McGibbon, Steve James, K. Michael O'Neal and various others.
The 30-minute show will feature coverage of the top national and regional daily sports stories, including college and professional sports, besides coverage of Liberty's athletics teams.
Additionally, the show will endeavor to look beyond results, statistics and scores, giving viewers fresh commentary on sports and provide a behind-the-scenes look at the world of athletics.
"We want to show people why character matters in athletics, as well as, allow athletes and coaches to speak out on all aspects of the game and life, including Christian faith and matters of the heart," commented Andy Freeman, Senior Producer of the LFSN "Game On" show.
"Liberty University is committed to its goal of ‘Training Champions for Christ'," continued Freeman. "This show will let people see how that plays out for athletes, on and off the field. The show will allow viewers to follow Liberty athletics teams in competition, as well as, discover the incredible things the Liberty's student-athletes are doing in the classroom and community."
An additional goal of the "Game On" show is to provide an avenue for athletics coverage for other Christian colleges and universities from around the country, offering them the opportunity to share their life-changing success stories.
Regular features for "Game On" will look deeper into the important issues facing collegiate and professional sports, providing a spiritual point-of-view. Special guests, LFSN analysts and notable Christian athletes and coaches will all help viewers understand why "keeping an eye on Jesus and the eternal prize" trumps all the other athletic accolades.
"Game On," as well as all other Liberty Flames Sports Network productions, is produced by an award-winning production team with decades of experience in live sports and major studio productions. The LFSN broadcast team consists of trained professionals who have worked for most of the major sporting networks in the United States, including ESPN, ABC Sports, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, NASCAR, SportSouth, Comcast, FoxSports and more.
Additionally, Liberty University Communication students will be working alongside the LFSN "Game On" broadcast team, giving students first-hand, experience that will provide them great experience and an opportunity to bolster their resume before graduation.
