The Liberty swimming & diving team is ranked No. 15 in the latest CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Division I Rankings, as announced today. The Lady Flames appear in the Mid-Major poll for the second time this season, as Liberty was ranked No. 13 in the first ranking, Nov. 21.

Now in its 12th year, the Mid-Major Rankings serve to provide an objective point system to compare teams that do not benefit from large scale football or basketball conferences or those teams that provide fewer than one-half of the allowable scholarships under the NCAA rules.

Conferences under consideration for the Mid-Major Rankings are: America East, Atlantic 10, Big East, CCSA, Colonial, Conference USA, Horizon League, Ivy League, MAAC, Mid-American, Missouri Valley, MPSF, Northeast, Patriot League, and WAC.

The Lady Flames are currently ranked 15th, and are the only CCSA team to appear in the rankings this week.
Columbia holds the No. 1 ranking, while San Diego State is ranked second and Harvard, third. Boise State and Denver round out the top five, in fourth and fifth place, respectively.

The Lady Flames close out their 2013-14 regular-season schedule on Jan. 31-Feb. 1, competing at the Davidson Duals, held at Davison's Charles A. Cannon Pool.
