Liberty Athletics recently completed another banner year in membership growth and annual fund giving to the Flames Club.

The Flames Club, the fundraising arm of Liberty Athletics, saw a 12 percent growth rate in its total membership during 2013, while experiencing a 21 percent increase in contributions to the organization's annual fund from the previous year.

The 2013 Flames Club annual fund grew to a record 625 members, who contributed $571,422, continuing the increased giving the organization has experienced over the last several years. Those numbers are up from 2012, which saw 559 members give $470,320 to the annual fund.

Of the 625 Flames Club members, 408 (65%) were renewals from 2012 and 217 (35%) were new donors. In 2013, the average annual fund gift was $914, which was an increase from the 2012 average of $841. Flames Club membership begins at $60 per year, with ascending levels up to $12,000.  Members can enjoy privileges including preferred parking, seating, and pregame hospitality; based upon contribution level.

The Flames Club also saw an increase in revenue from the sale of the 18 luxury football suites at Williams Stadium. The suites have had a 98% occupancy rate since the expansion of Williams Stadium for the 2010 season. The luxury suites at the new Liberty Baseball Stadium were placed on sale for the first time this year, with three of the four available suites having already been sold for the upcoming season.

In addition to the revenue from the annual fund and the luxury suites, the Flames club also cultivates legacy gifts, which are used to help improve an existing facility or to construct a new facility. The new Liberty Golf Clubhouse is currently being built from funds received through legacy gifts.

In total, the Flames Club generated $1,349,576 in 2013 revenue from the annual fund, luxury suite sales and legacy gifts.
