"White Out" & Frisbee Dogs Planned for Saturday's Basketball Game
Liberty men's basketball hosts High Point in a key Big South Conference game at the Vines Center on Saturday at 7 p.m. All fans are asked to wear white to the game. Liberty Athletics sponsor Runk & Pratt Senior Living Communities is providing 5,000 commemorative "White Out" t-shirts that will be placed on seats throughout the arena. Doors open at 6 p.m.
The Flying Houndz Frizbee Trick Dog Show will entertain fans at halftime. The Frisbee dog show has been featured on Good Morning America and the Today Show along with entertaining fans at NBA, WNBA and NCAA games. More information is available at flyinghoundzfrizbee.com.
Fans will have the opportunity to register on the Vines Center concourse during pre-game to be selected to participate in the "Shoot for Loot" at halftime. One lucky fan will be selected during the first half to compete in the halftime promo. The contestant will have 25 seconds to make a lay-up, free throw, three pointer and a half-court shot. Multiple shot attempts are allowed for the lay-up, free throw and three pointer with the contest advancing to the next shot after each made basket. However, the fan will only have one attempt at the half-court shot in order to win $10,000.
