Liberty Athletics Top 10 Moments of 2013: No. 6

LibertyFlames.com continues its countdown of the Top 10 Moments of 2013 for Liberty Athletics today, looking at No. 6, women's soccer's Big South Championship victory over Radford.

The most impressive season in women's soccer program history culminated with the most dominant Big South Women's Soccer Championship title game performance in league history on Nov. 10.

No. 2 seed Liberty controlled No. 1 seed Radford from the opening kick to the final sound of the buzzer at the CCU Soccer Field in Conway, S.C. Liberty defeated the Highlanders, 5-0, recording the most goals scored in Big South Championship title game history.

The victory was Liberty's program-record setting 16th of the season and gave the program its fourth Big South Conference title. The win also earned the Lady Flames a spot in the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship where they faced No. 1 seed and 21-time NCAA Champion North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C.
