Longwood Leads Liberty's Spring Invite In Savannah, Ga.

Longwood holds a two-shot lead over Radford as they recorded a round-low 288 on the first day of Liberty's Spring Invite at the Crosswinds Golf Club in Savannah, Ga. on Monday. 

Seton Hall finished day one in third at three-over par while Gardner-Webb and NCAA DII Armstrong Atlantic finished tied for fourth at 5-over par.

Josh Meador of Radford and Adam Webb of Longwood each shot a 68 to lead all individuals at four-under par. Blake Palmer of Gardner-Webb and Andrew Workman of Armstrong Atlantic are tied for third after shooting 70 to finish day one at two-under.
The Liberty "B" team finished day one in eighth place after shooting a 305 and 17 shots off the leader. Liberty's regular squad finished in 10th place at 307, led by Jay Calvo who shot his fourth-straight round of 73 to finish round one tied for ninth place. At the Xavier tournament over the weekend, Calvo shot 73 in each of the tournaments three rounds. Parker McKoy finished at 76 while Michael Turner, Josh Bain and Stephen Hawk shot 77, 81 and 89 respectively. 

Liberty's "B" team was led by Mark Hammond's 75 while Andrew Nelson shot a 76. Rounding out the Flame five was Peter Horstman (77), Joshua Mast (77) and Manuel Moreno (81).

The two-day/36 hole tournament will conclude with the final 18 holes of competition on Tuesday at the par-72, 6,534-yard Crosswinds Golf Club in Savannah, Ga.
