The Liberty men's cross country team captured its ninth straight Big South title on Nov. 2.

Nick Pierce of the Liberty Flames Sports Network recently caught up with Men's and Women's Cross Country Head Coach Brant Tolsma to review another successful season for the Flames and Lady Flames.

The Liberty men's squad captured its unprecedented ninth consecutive Big South Conference title. The Flames then placed 10th at the NCAA Division I Southeast Regional Championship, claiming their eighth top-10 finish in the last nine years at the meet.

The Lady Flames finished second to Coastal Carolina at the Big South Championship, marking the team's 10th straight top-two conference placement. Liberty was also the Big South's second-best team at the NCAA Division I Southeast Regional Championship, coming in one spot behind Coastal Carolina in 23rd place.
