Liberty 11th Out Of 16 Teams At Xavier's Mission Inn Collegiate
Louisville holds a 14-stroke lead over UNC Greensboro after shooting a 567 in two rounds on the first day of play on Monday at Xavier's Mission Inn Collegiate Invitational at the El Campeon Golf Club in Howie in the Hills, Fla.

Easter Michigan and Marquette are 15-strokes off the lead in a tie for third place after each shot 581.

Mike Van Sickle of Marquette holds the lead after shooting six-under par through the first two rounds. Bryan Haase of Eastern Michigan and Drew Younts of UNC Greensboro are one-shot behind the leader at five-under par. On the heels of the top three gentleman is five-way tie for fourth place at two-strokes behind the leader. Joe Cermak of Iowa State, Nathan Stamey of UNC Greensboro, Daryl Fathauer of Louisville and John Kelly of Missouri are all at four-under par after day one.

Liberty finished the first day 11th out of 16 teams as they finished at 593. The Flames were led by Jay Calvo who shot 73 twice to finish tied for 20th at two-over par. Manuel Moreno joined Calvo at two-over par after shooting a career-best 70 in round one. Stephen Hawk shot par in round two to finish at four-over. Josh Bain and Peter Horstman finished 12-over and 14-over respectively through two rounds.

Younts shot a course record 63 in round one. The previous record on the El Campeon course was 65.

The tournament will conclude with the final 18 holes of competition on Tuesday at the par-72, 6,923-yard El Campeon Golf Club in Howie in the Hills, Fla.
