Liberty Seeded No. 2 in BSC Championship, Hosts No. 7 Presbyterian College

With its 1-0 win over Longwood, Tuesday night, the Liberty women's soccer team earned the No. 2 seed in the 2013 Big South Championship. The Lady Flames will host No. 7 Presbyterian College in the quarterfinals, Sunday at 2 p.m. The contest will stream live on the Big South Network.

Liberty defeated the Blue Hose, 2-1, during the regular season in Clinton, S.C. on Oct. 5. Leading scorer Brittany Aanderud recorded both goals for the Lady Flames. Liberty leads the all-time series against PC, 6-0-1.

Radford won its third Big South Women's Soccer Regular Season Championship in four years. With the win, the Highlanders have earned the No. 1 seed in the Big South Women's Soccer Championship. It was determined today, as the conference season concluded this evening. Radford finished the season with a 10-1-0 league mark for 30 points.

Liberty garnered the No. 2 seed, finishing the regular season with an 8-2-1 record and 25 points, ahead of Longwood, who concluded the Conference season with an 8-3 record and 24 points. Winthrop and Coastal Carolina each posted identical 7-4 records for 21 points. The Eagles defeated the Chanticleers to break the tie and earn the No. 4 seed. High Point landed in the No. 6 position with a 6-4-1 record and 19 points, as Presbyterian College's 6-5 record and 18 points was good for the No. 7 seed. Charleston Southern rounded out the seeds at No. 8 with 12 points, as it finished the Big South season at 4-7.

The 2013 Big South Women's Soccer Championship quarterfinals will be played at campus sites this week before moving to Conway, S.C. for the semifinals and finals on Nov. 8 and 10.  No. 4 Winthrop will host No. 5 Coastal Carolina at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, while No. 3 Longwood hosts No. 6 High Point on Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. No. 1 Radford will announce when it will host No. 8 Charleston Southern on Wednesday, Oct. 30 as Radford is monitoring approaching weather in the New River Valley.

The quarterfinals and semifinals will air on the Big South Network, with the finals airing on ESPN3. The Big South's Tournament Champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament. The conference championship schedule is as follows:
