Saturday's win breaks up a string of three consecutive ties against Gardner-Webb.
The victory also marks the first time Liberty has posted six conference wins since 2009. That year, the Lady Flames went 6-1-2 en route to capturing the Big South regular-season title.

The honor is Boone's first Big South Defensive Player of the Week nod this season and the second for the Lady Flames in 2013. Van Noord also earned defensive player of the week honors on Sept. 9.
