Each week during the 2013 football season, the Liberty Flames Sports Network will preview the Flames' upcoming gridiron matchup, continuing this week with a look at Coastal Carolina.

The Chanticleers come into this weekend's matchup as one of two undefeated teams in the Big South this year. Coastal Carolina is 6-0 on the year and is unbeaten along with fellow "Palmetto State" conference member Charleston Southern, who is 7-0.

Coastal Carolina's 6-0 record has the Chanticleers ranked No. 4 in the country in the latest FCS Coaches poll and No. 6 in the most recent Sports Network listing.

The Chanticleers are averaging 43.0 points per game and currently rank No. 5 in the country in scoring offense. Coastal Carolina's strong offensive push is led by running back Lorenzo Taliaferro, who is averaging 139.2 rushing yards per game and has scored 13 rushing touchdowns on the year.

Coastal Carolina's defense ranks third in the Big South (22.00 points per game allowed) behind Liberty (16.67) and Charleston Southern (17.29). Big South Preseason Defensive Player of the Year Quinn Backus is the Chanticleers' leading tackler with 56 tackles (32 solo, 24 assisted).

Saturday's kickoff inside Williams Stadium is set for 3:35 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN3 (TV) and the Liberty Flames Sports Network (Radio). For more information about the game, visit Liberty's Game Day Central page.
