Series History versus Longwood
Tomorrow's matchup will be the fourth meeting all-time between the Lady Flames and the Lancers. Longwood leads the series 2-1, including a 2-0 record at home. Last season, the two squads each protected their home turf, with Longwood winning 3-1 on Sept. 18 in Farmville and Liberty ousting the Lancers 2-0 on Oct. 16 on Liberty Mountain. Since falling to Longwood on Sept. 18, 2012, the Lady Flames have reeled off eight consecutive wins against NorPac East foes.

Liberty at a Glance
The Lady Flames opened NorPac play this past weekend with a 6-2 victory over the visiting Davidson Wildcats at Liberty Field Hockey Field. The win improved Liberty's record to 6-4 overall and 1-0 in conference play. It is the second consecutive season the Lady Flames have begun the conference portion of their schedule, 1-0.

After scoring four goals against the Wildcats, forward Ashlee Krulock holds the team lead with nine markers this season and 19 points overall. The sophomore ranks first in the conference in points and goals. Nationally, Krulock is 17th with 0.90 goals per game.

Natalie Barr ranks second on the squad in points with 16 (6 goals, 4 assists), after recording her fifth multiple-goal game on Saturday against Davidson. Hannah Jones and Bethany Barr are tied for second on the team in assists with three each.

In the cage, Ann Jefferis is allowing just 1.27 goals per game and has given up just 12 total goals in 10 games. The redshirt senior has 42 saves overall and a .778 save percentage. Jefferis' goals-against average and save percentage rank her 12th in the nation in both categories.

Krulock Earns NorPac Weekly Award
Sophomore forward Ashlee Krulock was named the NorPac East Offensive Player of the Week yesterday, becoming the fourth different Lady Flame to earn a weekly conference award this season. Helen Doolittle was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week last week, while Ann Jefferis has earned defensive honors twice (Sept. 3 and Sept. 9). Natalie Barr was named Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 17.

Krulock garnered the award after posting a record-setting day for the Lady Flames in their lone contest last week. The sophomore matched a single-game program record with four goals in Liberty's 6-2 victory against Davidson on Saturday.

Playing for a Cause
Wednesday's contest between the highway 460 rivals will serve a greater purpose than which team takes sole possession of first place in the conference. The game is being played in conjunction with the National Foundation for Cancer Research's fundraising campaign "Play4theCure." Longwood at a Glance
The Lancers are riding a two-game winning streak, collecting a 2-1 overtime win at VCU last Wednesday and a 3-1 home victory on Sunday against Davidson. Overall this season, Longwood is 5-7, including a 3-0 mark in conference matchups. At home this year, the Lancers are 3-3, with two of those wins coming versus NorPac foes.

Reigning NorPac East Player of the Year Stacey de Grandhomme leads the Lancers and is tied atop the conference with nine goals this season. Jennifer Burris and Jessica Diaz lead the team with four assists each and are tied for second with four goals apiece.

In goal, Kaye Goulding has started 11 of the team's 12 games so far this season. The senior is surrendering an average of 2.54 goals per game and has recorded 73 saves for a save percentage of .723.

Looking Ahead
The Lady Flames continue NorPac play this weekend with a road contest at Radford on Saturday at 1 p.m., before returning home on Sunday to face Appalachian State at 2 p.m.
