Liberty will play one final football game before it starts Big South play when the Flames travel to Norfolk, Va., on Saturday to face the Monarchs of Old Dominion.

Following the Flames' final full practice on Thursday before the non-conference tilt, LFSN reporter Alan York had one last chance to talk with Flames' Head Coach Turner Gill.

Both the Flames and the Monarchs enter the game with identical 3-2 records and are coming off sizeable victories. Liberty defeated Kentucky Wesleyan, 73-7, at Williams Stadium, while Old Dominion handled visiting Albany, 66-10, at Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium.

The contest will be the first meeting in the series between the two programs, accounting for Liberty's third first-time opponent of the 2013 schedule.

Kickoff is set for 6:07 p.m. The game will be televised on Cox Communications (Norfolk) and carried live in the Lynchburg market on the Liberty Channel. For more information about the game, visit Liberty's Game Day Central page.
