• The Stony Brook win marked the first time Liberty had defeated a nationally ranked team under head coach Turner Gill and the program's first-ever victory over a Top 10 team
• Liberty is 1-4 all-time in games against ranked opponents under head coach Turner Gill
• The game against Richmond marked the fourth nationally ranked team Liberty has faced under head coach Turner Gill in nine non-conference games (last year, Liberty faced No. 24 Norfolk State, No. 14/12 Montana and No. 16/13 Lehigh)

Final Home Test Before Big South Play:
• Since starting Big South play in 2002, Liberty has posted a 6-5 record in its final home game before starting conference play
• Liberty has won five out of its last six final home non-conference games before beginning Big South play
• The Flames dropped their final home game before starting conference play in 2012, dropping a 28-26 decision to No. 16/13 Lehigh on Sept. 22
