The win snapped a two-game losing skid for the Flames and came at the end of a three-game road swing. Each of Liberty's three wins has been a shutout.
Duininck headed a ball lofted to thus far post by midfielder Sachem Wilson past the goalkeeper, scoring the game's lone goal and his first marker of the year. Defender Murphy Short also garnered an assist on the marker.
Making his first start of the season, senior goalkeeper Sam Chappell made a career-high seven saves over the full 90 minutes, en route to recording the first shutout of his career.
Liberty has been led by midfielder Sachem Wilson in scoring through the first five games of the year. The sophomore has scored a team-leading three goals and eight points.
Duininck, Kyle Breitmeyer, Jonatan Torres and Jacob Sebold have also each netted a goal for the Flames.
Liberty has utilized three different goalkeepers this season. Chappell and freshman Jeremy Lee have each started one game, with junior Scott Sutarik having started three games. As a team, the Flames have posted a 1.00 goals-against average and an .853 save percentage.
Liberty head coach Jeff Alder is in his 13th year at his alma mater. Alder has posted a 119-88-22 career record, while heading the Flames' program.
