A stout rushing attack and another strong effort from the Flames' defense helped Liberty secure its second-straight home victory with a 38-10 win over Morgan State on Saturday.

Liberty rushed for a season-best 330 yards and five touchdowns against the Bears, marking the Flames' second-best rushing performance in 14 games under head coach Turner Gill.

Liberty also held its sixth-straight opponent below 20 points scored (dating back to last year) and Liberty now ranks No. 10 in the country in scoring defense (14.0 points per game allowed).

Liberty's offensive standout was Desmond Rice, with the junior rushing for a career-best 97 yards and three touchdowns. The Flames evenly spread 59 total tackles among 29 different players who recorded stops against the Bears, limiting Morgan State to 171 yards of total offense (fewest yards allowed in a game under Gill).
