Flames Ready for Morgan State Matchup
Following the Flames' final full practice on Thursday before their Hall of Fame contest against Morgan State, LFSN reporter Alan York had one last chance to talk with head coach Turner Gill.
Liberty is coming off a 45-15 victory over Monmouth, giving the Flames a victory in its first home game of the year 10 out of the last 11 seasons.
The contest will mark the fourth meeting in the series between the two programs, but the first since 1996. The home team has won the game each time Liberty and Morgan State have met, including wins for the Flames in 1992 (55-27) and 1995 (48-17) to give Liberty a 2-1 series lead.
Morgan State enters the game 0-2 on the year and has dropped eight-straight contests dating back to the 2012 season. The Bears' last victory came with a MEAC win over Savannah State, 45-6, on the road on Oct. 6.
This will be the third-straight road game for Morgan State, as the Bears have opened the 2013 season with losses at Army (28-12) and at Robert Morris (31-14).
Kickoff is set for 7:07 p.m. and the game will be televised on the newly expanded Liberty Flames Sports Network and ESPN3. For more information about the game, visit Liberty's Game Day Central page.
