This weekend's contests will be the first-ever meetings for the Lady Flames against either opponent. Last season, in its first year in the NorPac, Liberty went 1-1 versus teams from the west division.

Liberty at a Glance
The Lady Flames began the season with a convincing 4-0 defeat of the visiting Saint Joseph's Hawks last Friday afternoon. Liberty scored a pair of goals in each half. Natalie Barr recorded a goal and two assists for the game, while Hannah Jones added a career-high two scores. Ashlee Krulock and Helen Doolittle added a goal and an assist, respectively. Liberty outshot the Hawks, 16-9, and matched Saint Joseph's in penalty corners with four.

Dual Threat
Defender Hannah Jones contributed in a big way against the Hawks. The sophomore recorded two scores, matching her goal total from the entire 2012 season. Jones also played a key role on the defensive side of the field, helping Liberty post the shutout and limiting the Hawks to just nine shots.

Jefferis Makes Strong Return
Goalkeeper Ann Jefferis recorded the fourth shutout of her Liberty career in the win against Saint Joseph's. It was the redshirt senior's first start in goal since the 2011 season, but the Harleysville, Pa. native didn't miss a beat, making four saves. Jefferis' effort earned her the NorPac East Division Defensive Player of the Week award.

Lady Flames Away from Lynchburg
In its last ten road/neutral site contests, Liberty is 8-2. The Lady Flames will play 11 games away from the friendly confines of Liberty Field Hockey Field this season.

UC Davis at a Glance
The Aggies opened the season with a home victory against Missouri State last Friday, 4-0. Redshirt freshman Danielle Koehne tallied two goals on two shots to lead UC Davis, while Jamie Garcia assisted on two Aggies' scores. Rounding out the scoring for UC Davis was Stephie Sabraw and Cloey LemMon. In goal, Danielle Herrington only had to make one save en route to the shutout win. The Aggies outshot the Bears, 14-5, for the contest and forced 10 penalty corners to Missouri State's two.

Cal at a Glance
The Bears hold a 1-1 record after splitting a pair of games during the season's opening weekend of play. Cal opened the year with a 2-1 shootout victory against Michigan State before falling to No. 4 Connecticut, 2-1.

For the season, Andrea Earle and Jordan O'Reilly each have a goal to lead the Bears. Shannon Elmitt has the lone assist for Cal on the season.
