The Liberty Flames men's tennis team was defeated by Campbell Wednesday afternoon, suffering a 7-0 setback in Buies Creek, N.C.

Doubles play featured Jarda Trojan and Chad Simpson, Liberty's top doubles pairing, falling to defeat for the first time all season. Trojan and Simpson were beaten by Campbell's duo of Gabriel Delarue and Marc Sifre. The final score of the No. 1 doubles contest was close, as the Camels' pairing won by an 8-6 count. Campbell also prevailed in the other two doubles matches, winning the point in the process.

In singles competition, Campbell won all six matches contested.

The Flames, who now stand at 3-3 on the season, continue their schedule on Tuesday as they travel to Farmville, Va., to face regional rival Longwood. Match time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
