Giancarlo Lemmi has been promoted to a full-time assistant coach for the Liberty women's tennis team.

Liberty Women's Tennis Head Coach Jeff Maren has announced the promotion of Giancarlo Lemmi for the upcoming 2013-14 season. Lemmi, who was the Lady Flames' graduate assistant last season, will now serve as a full-time assistant coach.

Lemmi helped guide the senior-less Lady Flames to a 6-3 conference record and a berth in the Big South Championship semifinals in 2012-13, Maren's first season as head coach.

A native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Lemmi graduated from Liberty in 2012 after a successful playing career on the men's tennis team. He is the program's all-time leader in doubles wins (79) and ranks second in singles victories (72). Lemmi was a two-time Big South all-conference honoree and a two-time Big South All-Academic team selection.
