Not only did Liberty Athletics excel on the field of competition with 10 conference championships during the recently completed athletics season, but its student-athletes had another banner year in the classroom, as well.

Liberty's 560 student-athletes combined to post a 3.08 grade-point average (GPA) during the 2012-13 athletics season. Additionally, Liberty's 20 athletics programs are currently maintaining a cumulative 3.06 GPA as a department.

All 11 of Liberty's female athletics programs posted a team GPA above a 3.0 during the 2012-13 season and maintained a cumulative 3.0 or better GPA. Similarly, six of Liberty's nine male athletics programs accomplished the same feat this past athletics season.

The Liberty University Academic Affairs for Athletics office strives to provide continuous academic, athletic, social and spiritual development for each Liberty student-athlete. Liberty University is one of 21 Division I athletics programs in the country who has had its athletics academic support office certified by the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A).
