2013 Big South Baseball Champion Liberty Flames

The No. 5 seed Liberty Flames defeated the No. 1 seed Campbell Camels, 2-1, to win the 2013 Big South title, Saturday at Liberty Baseball Stadium.

With the win, the Flames, 34-27, claim the Big South Conference's automatic bid to an NCAA Regional and their first conference crown since 2000. Liberty will find out their regional destination, when the NCAA Regionals bracket is announced, Monday at Noon on ESPNU.

OF/P Ashton Perritt was name the Big South Baseball Championship MVP, hitting a tean-leading .400 and posting a 0.00 ERA and four saves during Liberty's six tournament games. Liberty shortstop Dalton Britt, third baseman Jake Kimble, catcher Trey Wimmer, outfielder Justin Sizemore and pitcher Blake Fulghum were als named to the Big South All-Tournament team.
