Jill Stephens went 1-for-3 with a run scored on Saturday at Campbell.

A Sammi Shivock homer gave Liberty a quick 1-0 lead on Saturday, before the host Campbell Camels scored the next five runs, earning a 5-2 win and series sweep of the Lady Flames at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium.

The Camels' record advances to 23-12, including 7-2 in conference play, after winning all three games this weekend. Liberty is now 14-15, with a 3-4 mark in conference contests.

Shivock batted 3-for-3 with a double, homer, one run scored and one RBI. The junior registered two three-hit games during the series at Campbell. Katie Zavodny hit a single to stretch her hitting streak to 21 contests.

Stephanie Jones went 2-for-4 for the Camels, while Brittany Bruce and Olivia Scarborough both doubled and drove in two runs. Courtney Klingler hit a double and scored two runs.

Courtney Roberts earned the victory, improving to 11-4 with a complete-game seven-hitter in which she struck out nine Lady Flames and allowed two runs.

Annah Jo Brittingham (6-4) allowed five runs, four earned, on six hits in 2 1/3 innings as Liberty's starting pitcher, drawing the loss. Chandler Ball finished the game, yielding just three hits.

Liberty jumped ahead on Shivock's solo homer in the top of the first inning, as Shivock went deep with her fourth round tripper of the campaign.

Campbell quickly bounced back, loading the bases with nobody out during the bottom of the first on singles by Jones and Sarah Forgacs and a hit batter. Lee then tied the score with a sacrifice fly, and Bruce hit a two-run double, good for a 3-1 Campbell lead. Brittingham fanned Kailey Farmer for the third out.

The Camels added to their advantage with two runs in the third. Klingler led off with a double and went to third on a flyout. After an error allowed Bruce to reach first, Scarborough hit a double to the right-center gap, plating Klingler and Bruce. Ball then entered the circle in relief, registering the final two outs.

The Lady Flames' first two batters of the fourth inning reached base, as Stephens and Shivock hit back-to-back singles. Liberty was unable to cash in, as the next three batters went down in order.

Liberty drew closer in the top of the sixth inning. Zavodny led off with a bunt single. Following a fielder's choice, Shivock doubled, putting runners on second and third with one out. Nichols then plated Stephens with a sacrifice fly, making it 5-2, Campbell. Roberts struck out pinch hitter Katie Han to end the rally.

Campbell received singles from Camise Patterson and Casey Taylor during the bottom of the sixth. Ball kept the Camels at bay, getting a fielder's choice and popout to give Liberty one last chance.

Holly Seiz singled to lead off the Lady Flames' seventh at bat. Roberts then retired the final three batters in order, adding two strikeouts to her total as the Camels clinched the sweep, 5-2.

The Lady Flames return home, and will host Commonwealth rival Radford in a conference doubleheader on Wednesday. Game one of the twin bill is set to begin at 2 p.m. at Liberty Softball Field.
