Complete Game Notes

The Game
The Liberty men's basketball team now has an opponent and a destination in the NCAA Tournament. Head coach Dale Layer and the Flames will head to Dayton, Ohio to square off with North Carolina A&T, Tuesday, at 6:40 p.m., in a First Four tilt.

The matchup inside UD Arena will be broadcast live on truTV, with Marv Albert serving as play-by-play announcer and former NBA player Steve Kerr handling color analysis.

Tuesday's winner in the clash of 16 seeds will head to Lexington, Ky., on Thursday for a meeting with overall No. 1 seed Louisville. Game time at Rupp Arena is set for 6:50 p.m. on TBS.

What to Watch for
- Davon Marshall needs two more three-pointers to break Seth Curry's (102, 2009) program record for most three-point field goals in a single season.

- John Caleb Sanders is eight points shy of becoming the 23rd member of Liberty's 1,000-point club. Upon reaching the milestone, Sanders and his older brother Jesse (1,235 points, 15th place) will become the first pair of brothers to each record at least 1,000 points at Liberty.

- Tavares Speaks needs 16 tallies to reach 800 for his Liberty career. If he can achieve the milestone, Tuesday, Speaks will crack the Top 30 on Liberty's all-time scoring list.

- JR Coronado is just 12 rebounds away from garnering 300 on the season. Coronado's 288 rebounds are the third most by a Liberty junior in program history.

NCAA Tournament Notes
-The contest marks Liberty's third NCAA Tournament appearance all-time and first since 2004. The Flames are looking for their first-ever win in the Big Dance.

-Liberty is the second Big South program to play in a First Four game. UNC Asheville was the first conference member to do so, defeating Arkansas-Little Rock, 81-77, in 2011.

-The Flames are the third Big South squad to play an NCAA Tournament game in Dayton, Ohio, joining UNC Asheville (2003, 2011) and Winthrop (2001, 2009).
