Volleyball Signee Scripko Earns Third-Team All-America Honor
Nicki Scripko, who signed a national letter of intent to attend Liberty for the 2007-08 academic year, has been honored as a third-team All-America volleyball player by the National Christian School Athletic Association (NCSAA).

An outside hitter, Scripko (6-1, Fayetteville, N.C.) garnered the award after leading Fayetteville Christian to the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association (NCISAA) 2A state title match for the second-straight year.

Scripko was a NCISAA 2A All-State performer for the fourth time this past season, after leading the Warriors in kills (404), attack percentage (.415), aces (85) and digs (84). She was named one of the top 250 seniors in the nation by PrepVolleyball.com.

The versatile performer will join a Liberty team, coached by Shane Pinder, which finished third in the Big South with a 9-5 conference ledger this past year and lost just two seniors, Autum Black and Rachel Denton, to graduation.
