The Liberty University Athletic Department announces "Food in the Furnace", which is slated for the men's basketball 1 p.m. game on Saturday, when Charleston Southern comes to the Vines Center for Big South Conference action.

All students on meal plans will be fed lunch between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Lunch is a meal swipe and will be served in the concession stand near section 114.

"The intensity and participation of the student body has been an inspirational force in energizing our team in the Vines Center," said head coach Randy Dunton.

"We are excited to partner with LU Dining/Sodhexo in making Saturday another special day for campus life," added Dunton. "This is an important conference battle and we need to create a real home court atmosphere."

The Flames are 10-2 at the Vines Center this season and are averaging 99.3 points per game over the last three home contests. Liberty is vying for the third seed in the Big South Championship, which kicks off later this month.

The men's game on Saturday is a part of a doubleheader with the women's basketball team. The Lady Flames are set to tip at 3:30 p.m. against High Point in a battle for first place in the Big South standings.
