The Liberty men's tennis team returns to the Hill City for the first of four consecutive home matches, beginning on Friday with a non-conference tilt against Morgan State. The match versus the Bears will be held at the Sports Racket and is slated to begin at 6 p.m. The men's match will follow the Lady Flames contest with Morgan State, which begins at 2:30 p.m.

Live stats for the contest will be available by clicking the live stats link located on the men's tennis schedule/results page located on LibertyFlames.com.

The Flames look to rebound from their first setback of the season on Sunday versus William & Mary. Liberty enters Friday's match with a 3-1 overall record and with a win will improve to 4-1 for the first time since the 2001 season.

This past weekend, the Flames split a pair of contests, downing Norfolk State, 6-1, on Saturday, before falling to the Tribe in a tight match, 4-2.

Liberty boasts a 19-4 mark in singles matches this year. Senior Siim Tuus and junior Shea Thomas lead the Flames with identical 4-0 singles records, competing in the No. 1 and No. 2 positions, respectively. Dating back to the 2012 season, Tuus is 7-3 in singles play in his last 10 dual matches. Freshman Egon Samaai is third on the squad with a trio of victories compared to just one loss.

In doubles action, the Flames' pair of Jorge Azuero and Dillon Segur are 3-0 in the No. 2 spot, while Thomas and Samaai hold a 3-1 mark in the No. 1 doubles position. Including the 2012 fall schedule, Thomas and Samaai are 10-3 as a doubles tandem.

Morgan State comes to Lynchburg in search of its first win of the season. The Bears fell to 0-7 after their most recent setback to Maryland Baltimore County on Saturday, 6-1.

Morgan State will also be seeking its first ever victory against the Flames. Liberty won last season's matchup, 6-1, at home to improve to 2-0 all-time against Morgan State.

Evan Ward paces the Bears with a 5-2 singles record on the year, while splitting time in the No. 3 and No. 4 positions. Morgan State has received the most production from the No. 3 singles spot this season, winning four out of seven matches.

Overall, the Bears are 9-27 in singles bouts and 2-12 in doubles matches.

Following Friday's match, the Flames will entertain Longwood in their Big South conference opener on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
