The Liberty men's soccer team has announced its 2013 Spring schedule. The Flames will have six contests this spring in preparation for the upcoming 2013 season.
"The spring schedule will allow us to continue to grow our program and prepare our young players for the future," stated Liberty head coach Jeff Alder. "We are playing two 2012 NCAA tournament teams and two former NCAA tournament participants, as well as a Big South Team that is very well coached, organized and competitive."
"We also are playing a professional team that has a rich tradition of success which will allow our players to test themselves against the best and get a glimpse of the speed of play and thought, along with the intensity required to compete as a true professional."
This past season, the Flames finished the year with an 8-7-3 overall record and a 6-1-3 Big South mark. After a slow start, Liberty closed its regular season with a nine-game unbeaten streak (6-0-3), the team's longest since an 11-game streak (8-0-3) which spanned the 2008 and 2009 seasons.
