Jessie Boda (pictured) and Brittany Yang won their doubles match, 8-2, on Tuesday.

Playing its final scheduled indoor match of the 2013 spring season, the Liberty Lady Flames tennis team fell to the visiting East Tennessee State Buccaneers by a final score of 4-0 on Tuesday afternoon at the Sports Racket.

With the loss, Liberty drops to 0-4 on the season, while East Tennessee State improves to 2-0.

"The girls put up a great fight against a strong ETSU team," commented Liberty head coach Jeff Maren. "I was proud of their effort and energy and believe that they have improved some of their weaknesses. I feel like these first four matches have prepared us for the beginning of the conference season next week."

Brittany Yang and Jessie Boda began the afternoon with a win the No. 2 doubles position for the Lady Flames. The Liberty tandem rolled past Larn McShane and Antonia Kolovou, 8-2, to improve their record as a pair to 2-2 on the year.

The Buccaneers answered right back, as Anna Gerbasi and Lyn Yee Choo knocked off Liberty's Rebekah Jenkins and Alexandra Sheeran, 8-4, in the No. 1 doubles pairing.

In the No. 3 spot, Sofia Espana and Salma Dahbi outlasted Liberty's Cameron Richard and Valerie Thong, 8-5, to give the Buccaneers the doubles point and a 1-0 lead heading into singles action.

In singles play, East Tennessee State won three of the six matches, with the other three ending unfinished.

At the No. 3 spot, Choo topped Yang, 6-2, 6-1, before Kolovou downed Richard, 6-1, 6-0, in the No. 1 position.

Liberty's Nicola Wellman fell to Dahbi, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 5 as the Buccaneers clinched the 4-0 victory.
