Arlene Zelinskas set another 60-meter hurdle record.

For the second-straight weekend, Liberty senior Arlene Zelinskas eclipsed her own program and Big South Conference record in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking an 8.54 on Saturday at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational at New York's Armory Track. Jon Hart also stood out for the Flames, finishing third in the men's weight throw.

Zelinskas' (Dayton, Ohio) record-breaking effort was good for fourth place in the consolation final of the event and 11th overall. She had posted a time of 8.55 in the event during the On Track Open pentathlon, Jan. 26 at the Tolsma Indoor Track Center. The senior wrapped up a stellar weekend, which saw her tie for second place in the high jump on Friday.

Hart (Jr., Wyomissing, Pa.) used a season-best 61-8.5 effort in the weight throw to capture third place in the event. Not only was it his best mark, but it represents the top throw in the Big South Conference this season.

Liberty will return home on Friday for its final tune-up before the Feb. 17-18 Big South Championships. North Carolina A&T, Radford, Richmond, VCU and VMI will also compete in the meet at the Tolsma Indoor Track Center.
