Liberty Volleybal Head Coach Shane Pinder guides the Lady Flames as they prepare to conclude the regular season this weekend.

Nick Pierce of the Flames Sports Network recently caught up with Liberty Volleyball Head Coach Shane Pinder, as the Lady Flames prepare for their final weekend of regular-season matches.

Liberty (20-7, 10-2 Big South) clinched at least a share of the Big South regular season title for conference-record sixth year in a row with a 3-0 win at Campbell on Saturday after downing High Point in five sets the previous night. The Lady Flames can win the title outright with one victory this week.

Redshirt freshman Caroline Douglas was named Big South Freshman of the Week for the third time on Monday. The Big South's kills leader, Douglas sent down a career-high 26 kills in a 3-2 win at High Point last Friday. Douglas and teammate Lillie Happel (Oct. 26 at Radford) scored 26 kills in back-to-back matches.

This weekend, the Lady Flames host UNC Asheville on Friday night at 7 p.m. before taking on Gardner-Webb in the regular-season finale at noon on Saturday. Liberty's four seniors (Lauren Bosché, Erica Manor, Kendle Rollins and Loren Thomas) will be honored prior to Saturday's contest against Gardner-Webb.
