Jennifer Klugh enters Saturday's Big South Women's Cross Country Championship as the two-time defending women's individual champion.

With the 2012 Big South Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships set for Saturday, Nick Pierce caught up with the two-time defending Big South women's cross country champion, redshirt senior Jennifer Klugh.

Klugh will attempt to become the first Lady Flame ever to win three straight Big South women's cross country individual titles. No Big South women's runner has accomplished the feat since Coastal Carolina's Jolene Williams in 1997, 1998 and 1999.

More importantly, Klugh hopes to help Liberty win its third Big South women's cross country team championship during her four years of competition. The Lady Flames were victorious in 2009 and 2010 before finishing second to High Point a year ago.

Saturday's meet will be hosted by Winthrop at the Winthrop Coliseum and Farm in Rock Hill, S.C. The women's 5K championship will be the first race of the day, beginning at 10:30 a.m. The men's 8K will follow at 11:30.
