The Liberty women's swimming team has received Scholar All-America Team mention from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for academic success attained during the Spring 2012 semester.
The CSCAA announced Scholar All-America Team Awards, which were earned by over 400 college and university teams spanning NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA. In order to qualify for the award, a team must have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the Spring 2012 semester.
The Lady Flames recorded a 3.25 team GPA last semester, and are one of seven Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association teams to be named a Scholar All-America Team recipient.
This is Liberty's second CSCAA team academic honor this year. In February, the Lady Flames received a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Award for obtaining a 3.06 GPA during the fall of 2011.
