Men's Soccer Announces 2012 Recruiting Class
The men's soccer program has announced the signing of eight student-athletes to National Letters of Intent to attend Liberty for the 2012-13 academic year.
"We are very excited about this group of men and feel they will help us compensate for the loss of six seniors due to graduation from our 2011 championship team," stated head coach Jeff Alder. "With five players turning professional including two players who were drafted by MLS teams, Liberty soccer must get contributions immediately from some of our new signees, as well as, some of the returning players who we were able to redshirt last year in order to maintain our standard of excellence."
"The five freshman all have been integral in leading their teams to state championships and the transfers have been a part of highly competitive and successful programs. I feel their past successes combined with their character, work ethic, drive, and commitment to excellence will allow them to blend with our returning group of players as we try to compete for another Big South Conference championship.
