Liberty softball head coach Paul Wetmore

On the eve of the Liberty softball team's first-ever trip to the state of Texas, LibertyFlames.com's Nick Pierce caught up with head coach Paul Wetmore for an interview.

Liberty (6-4) split a doubleheader with East Tennessee State to open its home schedule on Tuesday. The Lady Flames erased a 10-run deficit to win game two of the twinbill, 14-13, marking the largest comeback in the program's NCAA Division I history. Tuesday's win also took place under the lights, a first for Liberty Softball Field.

The Lady Flames travel to Texas, where they will play 10 games in an eight-day span, starting with five games in College Station at the Aggie Invitational, Friday through Sunday.
