In an effort to continue to expand its coverage of Liberty Athletics, the Flames Sports Network has release its first showing of the Flames SportsDesk today.

The weekly 30-minute, magazine-style show will focus on Liberty's football program during the fall, before shifting to the Flames' basketball and baseball later in the year.

The weekly show is hosted by "Voice of the Flames" Alan York and FSN reporter Erin McKeown. Additionally, each show will have an Olympic sport segment, giving all of Liberty's athletics programs added coverage.

The show will originally air on the Liberty Channel four times a week – Thursday (8:30 p.m.), Friday (8 a.m.) and Saturday (12 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.).

Additionally, several regional and national networks are already slated to pick up the 30-minute show: MASN (regional coverage), CTN (regional coverage - Florida) and WSET 13.2 (local/regional coverage - Digital 2 station for WSET - Channel 13). Fans wishing to watch the weekly show on these networks are encouraged to check their local listings for these stations.

Finally, the Flames SportsDesk will also be available on www.LibertyFlames.com each Saturday morning, helping prepare Liberty fans for that day's football match-up.

During this week's show, York opens by taking with sixth-year head football coach Danny Rocco, previewing Liberty's match-up with N.C. State.

McKeown follows by talking with Walter Payton Award candidate Mike Brown and first-year field hockey coach Jodi Murphy. Finally, this week's show wraps up with an interview with Director of Athletics Jeff Barber, recapping Liberty's recent dominance in winning four Big South Sasser Cup titles in a row.
