The Flames continued their week between 2011 Football Training Camp and their preparation drive for the season-opener against N.C. State on Sept. 3 with an afternoon workout on Wednesday.

Head coach Danny Rocco held a very similar practice to the one he organized on Tuesday, following two days away from the practice field. Liberty had Sunday off for its annual Football Media Day and Monday for the first day of classes.

During today's two-plus hour workout, Liberty focused on reviewing the large number of plays in the team's playbook with several different team segments.

Following practice today, FSN reporter Alan York had a chance to talk with Rocco and wide receiver Pat Kelly during his post-practice interview session.

Kelly just returned to the practice line-up at the close of training camp, after missing several days with an injury. Kelly closed 2010 by setting a program and Big South single-game record with 235 receiving yards during Liberty's 54-28 victory over Stony Brook to help clinch the program's fourth-straight Big South title.

Kelly finished the season with a career-high 635 receiving yards and four touchdowns, which ranked second on the team to Chris Summers' All-America season (1,081 yards and 15 touchdowns).

The Flames will hold their final scrimmage-like practice tomorrow, when they practice under the lights at Williams Stadium. Liberty will run roughly 110-plus scripted plays during a practice session that starts at 6:45 p.m. and will run to roughly 9 p.m.
