2011 Football Training Camp: Day 1 Video Recap
On Thursday, 90-plus players hit the turf at Williams Stadium for the first official practice of the 2011 season, when Liberty held its first workout of its August training camp.
Battling temperatures in the middle 90s, Liberty worked out for just over two hours during the late afternoon. In keeping with the NCAA's acclimation period regulations, the team held its first of two practices without pads today.
The Flames will work out in "shells" on Saturday and Sunday (helmet and shoulder pads), before holding its first practice in full pads on Monday afternoon. Liberty will practice tomorrow night at 6:45 p.m., while holding afternoon practices that start at 2:20 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
