With construction progressing quickly on the Cook Tennis Center, Liberty tennis head coach Chris Johnson sat down with the Flames Sports Network's Nick Pierce to talk about different aspects of the new facility.

In anticipation of the facility's completion, Johnson mentions the impact of facilities for tennis, features of the new Cook Tennis Center and how facilities affect recruiting efforts.

Since the last update, inside finish work has begun.  Multiple door frames have been installed, walls have been primed and electrical work is nearly completed.

On the outside, exterior brick work is complete, while concrete work at both ground level entrances and the balcony has began.  Also, a new brick sign has been constructed near the parking entrance of the building.

Other recent improvements regarding facilities for the Liberty tennis programs are the renovations to longtime Lynchburg tennis and racquetball facility, The Sports Racket.  To find out more more about the new improvements at this facility, which re-launched this past weekend, read the full story here.
