As the first-place Liberty women's basketball team prepares for three consecutive road games, Nick Pierce caught up with head coach Carey Green.

The Lady Flames are coming off of home victories over Gardner-Webb and Winthrop, which extended the team's winning streak to seven games and pushed its Big South record to 10-1.

Avery Warley led the way, averaging 13.0 ppg and 16.0 rpg during the pair of wins. For her efforts, the 6-3 redshirt junior center was named Big South Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Liberty will return to action Saturday at 3 p.m., when the Lady Flames travel to Radford. The Highlanders, who sit in second place in the Big South standings at 7-3, are the only conference team to defeat Liberty this season. Radford notched a 62-53 triumph at the Vines Center on Jan. 17.
