Dillon Segur will join the Flames and enroll at Liberty for the 2011-12 academic year.

Liberty Men's Tennis Coach Chris Johnson has announced the signing of Dillon Segur to a National Letter of Intent during the November early signing period. Segur will enroll at Liberty for the 2011-12 academic year.

Segur, of Winston-Salem, N.C., has experienced success at the high school level and will look to find a spot in the Flames line-up during his first year. During the 2010 season, Segur captained his team to a North Carolina 4A State Championship, while being awarded the MVP of the tournament. Segur also won a North Carolina State Championship in doubles in 2008.

Johnson looks forward to Segur joining his team next year, saying, "Dillon is a very strong player out of one of the strongest tennis academies in the Southeast. He not only carries a big ranking, but has won many prestigious sportsmanship awards and considers Liberty the perfect fit for him. We look for him to make our starting line-up as a freshman and never look back."

Segur currently holds a No. 7 ranking in the state of North Carolina, and a national ranking of 165 according to tennisrecruiting.net.

Segur has faced quality competition during his career, including representing North Carolina in the Southern Cup and participating in the Easter Bowl and the Clay Court Nationals.

In addition to his solid play, Segur has shown class as a competitor, as he has been recognized numerous times with sportsmanship awards on the state level. He has been honored with the Hal Southern Jr. Male Tennis Sportsmanship Award, while also picking up the sportsmanship award at the Southern Cup.
