Head coach Carey Green's Lady Flames will tip off the 2010-11 campaign Nov. 12, with a contest versus Creighton.

Two weeks away from the start of the 2010-11 season, Liberty women's basketball head coach Carey Green sat down with Nick Pierce to provide updates on the Lady Flames' progress during preseason practice.

Expectations are high for the Lady Flames, who are coming off of a 27-6 season which included their 13th Big South Conference championship in the last 14 years. Four starters are back from last year's team, highlighted by Big South Preseason Player of the Year Devon Brown and preseason all-conference selection Avery Warley. As a result, Liberty was tabbed the preseason favorite to win the Big South Conference title and received a No. 8 ranking in the inaugural CollegeInsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top 25 Poll.

Liberty will open the season with two games at the Sheraton Raleigh Wolfpack Invitational, Nov. 12-13 in Raleigh, N.C. The Lady Flames will face Creighton in the first round of the tournament, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. Liberty will then meet either College of Charleston or host team N.C. State on day two.

The Lady Flames will play their first of 11 home games Nov. 16, when Virginia Union visits the Vines Center for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
