Scouten Places 14th in Hammer at Shamrock Invite

David Scouten finished 14th in the men's hammer at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on Thursday.

Liberty redshirt senior David Scouten placed 14th in the men's hammer competition to highlight a light day of action for the Flames at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational, Thursday at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.

Scouten's mark of 164-9 on his second throw ranked him 14th out of 40 competitors in the event. Sophomore teammate Seth Lewis followed in 23th place, thanks to a 144-4 effort.

The 20th annual Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational will resume Friday at 9 a.m. with the decathlon 110-meter hurdles.
