The Liberty Flames women's tennis squad continues its best start in program history, now holding a 7-1 overall record. The Lady Flames are currently riding the sixth longest winning streak in program history with five matches.

Pacing the young Liberty squad is freshman Evangeline Crist. The Lilburn, Ga. native leads the team in singles play with a 7-0 record and doubles competition with a 7-1 overall start.

This weekend, the Lady Flames are set to take on No. 73 Marshall at 1 p.m. on Saturday evening. The contest will take place at the Sports Racket.

Alan York of the Liberty Flames Sports Network had the chance to sit down and talk with women's tennis head coach Jeff Maren to discuss the red hot start, as well as the expectations moving forward.
